As the Burghàlie brand continues to grow, it is no suprise that the team would too. Burghàlie welcomed 8 new team members with diverse backgrounds and unique skill sets. "Each of these individuals has a unique skill set that they bring to the table, and I can't wait for them to use their talents to further the brand's mission," says Rashaad, the company founder.

Here's a little information about a few of the new team members.

Chris Cyrille - Chief of Finance

Hello, my name is Chris Cyrille, and I am a Haitian from Pompano, FL. Growing up, my mother was a tailor. While most families woke up to the sounds of coffee brewing, my sister and I would often wake up to the sounds of my mother's sewing machine. Following a traumatic surgery, my mother helped me understand the effects fashion can have on one's overall wellbeing. Since then, fashion has been a cornerstone of my everyday life. It led me to the founding of my men's styling brand "Canopy Road," as well as the opportunity to become a TEDx speaker.

Jaiden Downing for Burghàlie
Jaiden Downing - Creative Assistant

"I’m Jaiden Downing and I’m born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. Fashion has always been something apart of me wether it’s me putting my own looks together, creating content for others, or just art as a whole. My passion for design and fashion have always been there for me when other stuff wasn’t. Which just made me want to pursue the fashion industry on another level."

Jameia Mitchell - Creative Assistant

"Hello, my name is Jameia Mitchell, and I’m from Smyrna, Georgia. I feel creativity, fashion and art are important for several reasons. As far as creativity, it is the root of all things in the world that we live in. Without creativity, the world would be dull and bland. The same goes for art. It creates a safe space for people to interpret, perceive, and develop a sense of self that other areas of our society don’t deem fit to be able to do so. As far as fashion, personally, expressing my sense of self is a top priority, especially as someone who grew up struggling to express myself verbally. Fashion has molded me into the person I am today."

Liv Peltier - Creative Assistant

"My name is Liv Peltier, I am originally from the Caribbean specifically the U.S. Virgin Islands. From there I lived in New Jersey but moved to Atlanta where I now reside and love. I have always been a creative and believe that creativity in all aspects shapes the world in interest. Creativity shows how everyone views the world through their own innovative perspective. This is why I believe it is so important to have a continuous flow of creative energy to keep new perspectives going."

Phoenix Luciano - Head of Design

"Hello, my name is Phoenix Luciano and I'm from Redlands, CA (Inland Empire). Freedom and creativity are inherently intertwined; I place a great deal of importance in the ability to exercise each, in every aspect of ones life, and believe obstruction or the attempt thereof is an action that can only be taken with malicious intent."

Zoe White - Graphic Designer

"I'm Zoe White, and I was born in Ethiopia but lived in Atlanta and New York most of my life. I was first introduced to art by all the street art in Atlanta. I was fascinated by how the art around my community could be so expressive and unifying. Because art is a reflection of society and culture, it can be used as a tool to inform and influence. Art is a way for an individual to express themselves in a way that's inclusive and accessible. Being creative allows me to explore new ideas, solve problems, and communicate. I look to artists such as Kara Walker and Wangechi Mutu, who focus on themes of race and gender. Art is now more important than ever."
